I was apprenticing under a midwife at the time, and Stormi attended a few of my prenatal visits. I was immediately drawn to her wit and sense of humor—she is truly one of the funniest people I know. We’ve nurtured that friendship over the last few years, and she is someone I treasure deeply.

Almost one year ago, the roles reversed when Stormi caught my eighth baby. I have the birth on video, and every time I watch it, I am moved by her skill and grace. She brings a grounding, calm presence to every birth, and I am constantly inspired by her depth of knowledge and her ability to adapt. As I work through my graduate program to become a Certified Nurse Midwife, I find myself looking forward to the day we work side-by-side so I can continue to learn from her.

It was such a joy to step behind the lens and capture Stormi and her family. They are a whirlwind of energy and love, and the orchard provided the perfect backdrop for those candid, warm moments. Between the "heavenly" golden-hour glow and the beautiful souls in front of my camera, I couldn't stop smiling while editing this gallery. My heart is so full.
