Extended Family Session at Washington Fields, Washington, Utah
I had the privilege of photographing the Cox family again this Thanksgiving season, and their session was everything I love about extended family photography in Southern Utah. The autumn colors were rich, the light was soft and glowy, and this beautiful family brought so much warmth and joy to the shoot. It truly felt like a photographer’s dream!
One of my favorite things about extended family photo sessions is the variety—they allow me to capture a mix of individual families, couples, grandparents, and all the sweet in-between moments. In just 75 minutes, we were able to create a full gallery of combinations, and the Cox family was incredible to work with. Everyone was happy, relaxed, and ready to go when their turn came, which made the entire experience flow effortlessly.
Being a family photographer in Southern Utah is something I’m so grateful for. The weather this time of year is unbeatable, and the desert’s autumn light has a magical quality that makes every image glow.
